Our Ocean Initiatives - Driving change through exploration, technology, and conservation
At My Clean Ocean, we believe that protecting our coastlines requires a multi-angled approach. By combining the power of visual storytelling, community-driven research, and targeted habitat defense, we are actively working to preserve the fragile marine ecosystems of Southern California and beyond. Explore our three core projects below:
Project: Blue Lens What people cannot see, they cannot protect. The "Blue Lens" project is dedicated to mastering and sharing the art of underwater visual storytelling. By bringing high-quality imagery and filmmaking to the surface, we shine a spotlight on the hidden beauty of our oceans and the urgent environmental challenges they face. This project uses the power of the camera to document marine life, raise awareness, and empower a new generation of advocates to inspire action through a lens.
Project: Citizen Science Real change happens when communities get involved. Our "Citizen Science" mission bridges the gap between advanced marine technology and everyday ocean lovers. We equip local volunteers, boaters, and students with the tools and knowledge needed to collect vital data, monitor water conditions, and track marine debris. By crowdsourcing this research, we are building a powerful, grassroots network of everyday people actively protecting our coastal waters.
Project: Guardian of the Kelp Kelp forests are the lifeblood of our coastal ecosystems, providing a crucial habitat and nursery for countless marine species. The "Guardian of the Kelp" initiative is our hands-on conservation effort focused on monitoring, cleaning, and protecting these vital underwater forests. Through targeted debris removal and habitat defense, we are working to ensure these delicate environments continue to thrive and support the marine life that depends on them.
