Volunteer With Us: Empower Youth Through Visual Storytelling

Southern California is home to some of the most diverse marine ecosystems in the world, yet not every student has the opportunity to experience or study them up close. At My Clean Ocean, we are on a mission to bridge that gap.

We are launching a specialized mentorship program for high school students studying marine biology in under-resourced communities. But we aren't just teaching them about the ocean—we are putting cameras in their hands. By blending marine science with photography and filmmaking, we empower the next generation to document, understand, and fiercely protect our coastlines.

How You Can Help We are looking for passionate locals to step up as mentors. You don't need to be a marine biologist or a professional filmmaker to make an impact, just someone willing to share their time and knowledge.

Ocean Educators: Help us break down marine biology concepts, guide tide-pool explorations, and teach students about the ecosystems right in our backyard.

Creative Mentors: Teach the basics of photography and video. Show students how to frame a shot, tell a story through a lens, and use visual media for environmental advocacy.

Field Crew: Help us organize beach workshops, manage gear, and keep our educational outings running smoothly and safely.
